1. Introduction

Welcome to SalonGhor. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our platform that connects customers with salons, parlours, and barbershops for appointment booking, and connects business owners with independent artists for discovery and recruitment across Bangladesh. By accessing or using SalonGhor, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services. We recommend that you read these Terms carefully and keep a copy for your records.

2. Description of Service

SalonGhor provides an online platform that allows:

• Customers — To search for salons, parlours, and barbers by location (division, district, upazila, area), view business details, book appointments, and leave reviews
• Business owners — To register their salon or parlour, manage services, staff, opening hours, receive bookings, and discover and invite independent artists
• Independent artists — To register with Google, create a professional profile (skills, experience, portfolio, location), control profile visibility, and receive salon invites

We act as an intermediary. We do not provide beauty or grooming services ourselves, and we are not an employer, recruiter, or employment agency. Any contract for services between a customer and a business, or any hiring or work arrangement between a salon and an artist, is solely between those parties.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use SalonGhor. By using our platform, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the laws of Bangladesh.

4. User Accounts

Customers

Customers may browse and book appointments without creating an account. For features such as favourites and booking history, we may store profile information locally in your browser. You are responsible for providing accurate contact information when booking.

Business Owners

Business owners must register and create an account to list their salon or parlour. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information about your business. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

Independent Artists

Independent artists may create an account using Google Sign-In. By signing in with Google, you authorise us to receive your Google account identity information (such as name, email, and profile photo) needed to create and authenticate your artist account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate profile information (skills, experience, location, contact details, and portfolio)
• Keep your profile up to date
• Use profile visibility settings responsibly (visible profiles may appear in Find Artist search)
• Not misrepresent your qualifications, experience, or availability

5. Artist Discovery and Salon Invites

• Salons may browse public artist profiles and send invites to artists.
• Artists may accept or reject invites. Contact details (such as phone or email) are shared with a salon only when an invite is accepted, or as otherwise configured by the artist's visibility and contact settings.
• Sending or accepting an invite does not create an employment relationship with SalonGhor. Any negotiation, hiring, payment, or work terms are between the salon and the artist.
• We may record aggregate profile view counts to help artists understand interest in their profiles.
• We may index public artist profile data in our search systems to power Find Artist discovery.

6. Booking Terms

• When you book an appointment through SalonGhor, you enter into a direct agreement with the salon or parlour. We facilitate the connection but are not a party to that agreement.
• Appointment availability is subject to change. The business may confirm, modify, or cancel bookings based on their schedule.
• You agree to provide accurate contact details (name, phone number) so the business can reach you regarding your appointment.
• Cancellation and rescheduling policies are set by each business. Please contact the business directly for any changes.

7. Business Owner Obligations

If you list your business on SalonGhor, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and up-to-date information about your business, services, pricing, and opening hours
• Respond to bookings in a timely manner and honour confirmed appointments
• Use Find Artist and invites only for legitimate hiring or collaboration purposes
• Not misuse artist contact information obtained through the platform
• Comply with all applicable laws in Bangladesh, including business registration, labour, and tax obligations
• Not engage in any misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive practices
• Maintain appropriate standards of hygiene and service quality

8. Reviews and User Content

Users may submit reviews, ratings, and (for artists) profile and portfolio content. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display, and distribute it on our platform for the purpose of operating SalonGhor (including search and discovery). You agree that your content will be honest, fair, lawful, and not defamatory. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or is otherwise inappropriate.

We use local storage to prevent duplicate reviews per salon. You may submit only one review per business. Artists retain ownership of their portfolio images and profile text, subject to the licence above while the content remains on the platform.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any laws in Bangladesh
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Harass, abuse, spam, or harm other users, businesses, or artists
• Use artist contact details for spam, harassment, or unrelated marketing
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the platform without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation

10. Intellectual Property

SalonGhor, including its design, logo, and content, is our property. All rights are reserved. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent. Business owners and artists retain ownership of their information, images, and content provided to us, subject to the licences granted in these Terms.

11. Disclaimers

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not endorse or guarantee the quality of any business or artist listed on our platform, nor the outcome of any booking, invite, or hiring process. Your dealings with businesses and artists are at your own risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by the laws of Bangladesh, SalonGhor and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any disputes, losses, or damages arising from transactions, employment discussions, or arrangements between customers, businesses, and artists.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SalonGhor, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or our platform. Business owners and artists may close or hide their listings/profiles through their dashboard or by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Bangladesh. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangladesh.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of SalonGhor after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the platform.
